Volunteering Section Manager

Job Objective:

To plan, implement, evaluate and promote volunteer participation in volunteering activities and programs in coordination with relevant stakeholders

Functional Role:
o Develop, review and update volunteering management plan, framework, standards, policies, processes, requirements and systems for Ma’an aligned to Ma’an’s mission and plans
o Manage the development of a communication methods and tools, measurement of progress towards volunteering objectives and targets
o Drive culture of volunteering by supporting the establishment of volunteer groups of various nationalities with relevant stakeholders to promote the concept of volunteering
o Promote volunteer opportunities with relevant stakeholders for programs in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and improve the participation of the private and third sector by collaborating with relevant entities to develop anchor concepts about volunteering that help all communities in Abu Dhabi
o Develop and enhance an effective volunteering experience in Abu Dhabi through awareness, capacity building and incentive and retention programs
o Oversee the participation of the volunteers in opportunities within the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Build relationships to attract volunteers from public, private, and third sector in Abu Dhabi
o Recognize volunteers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi for their volunteering efforts
o Collect and analyse data, and report on volunteering activates in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi
o Build capacity of volunteers in order to ensure increase in new volunteers, active volunteers, retained volunteers, specialized volunteers, and volunteer hours Quantify impact of volunteering and capture value of volunteering (specialized and traditional) leveraging stakeholders and existing opportunities
o Review and oversee the training program for volunteers
o Perform other tasks as requested by the Director

University Degree in a relevant field or equivalent, preferably holds a Master’s degree

Experience of at least 6 years in a relevant field, preferably in the social sector
